As the dust settles, the Wild Rovers hear “You OK?” from the hole ripped through the wall by Desmond’s lightning bolt. Desmond invis all. Aengus lie, saying some alchemy experiment exploded and it was dangerous to enter. “Oh I can help, I know about those things.” Knocking on door. Also sounds like someone’s wedding was ruined by the lightning. Urs quickly chop off Darius’s limbs and throws all parts in the Bag of Hooding. Aengus and Vara dimension door to inside sewers. Desmond polymorph Urs into rat, then wild shape self into rat. Desmond retains his own mind, Urs has rat mind and just wants cheese. Desmond convinces Urs he has cheese at home and that he should follow.

As the isle of Whig began to fade on the horizon, the Wild Rovers sighted smoke coming from it, but they could not tell how much or what it indicated. Aboard the Second Coming VII, Aengus restored a rapier for Heidi. The Rovers argued about how much to tell Heidi regarding the magical artifacts they were hunting. Vara was less trusting and wanted to keep their secrets close to the chest. Vara, like Desmond, was given up by her parents when she was born as an aasimar, and this fueled some of Vara’s distrust of Heidi.

At evening, Desmond casts Dream while Urs and Vara keep watch and Aengus starts his sleep. Urs and Vara pay much more attention to Desmond in his trance than to their surroundings. After 4 hours, Desmond shifts into Heidi’s dream, which he shapes into a scene in the Infinite Steppe. She’s a human-looking woman.

Hoongry says orcs use Moon Lake for water. Spider people have a truce with orcs, negotiated by Drawl the Angry. One and half day to Moon Lake. The beast in Drop Point has four heads and is responsible for seismic activity. Fool’s Errand area has very dangerous creature that destroys powerful magic users with its mind, as well as a portal. Could approach Hatch Lake via boat across the bay, but there is dangerous quick sand. Female shaman orc (probably Shagol) recently visited, controlled the beast at Drop Point, and was worshipped by orcs who were tasked by her to work the mines.

Prisoner guard stayed below decks during fight. Captain fetches 5 bottles of alcohol, drink to his retirement. Captain’s cargo was probably gems, don’t-ask-don’t-tell. “Hasn’t heard” (double speak) of Darius or his mining. Vara convince captain to wait for us for 1 pp per day. Desmond commune with nature to understand the local ocean corruption, feels a bad vibration. Drink until sleep.
