Session 54 — Masters of Diplomacy

Hoongry says orcs use Moon Lake for water. Spider people have a truce with orcs, negotiated by Drawl the Angry. One and half day to Moon Lake. The beast in Drop Point has four heads and is responsible for seismic activity. Fool’s Errand area has very dangerous creature that destroys powerful magic users with its mind, as well as a portal. Could approach Hatch Lake via boat across the bay, but there is dangerous quick sand. Female shaman orc (probably Shagol) recently visited, controlled the beast at Drop Point, and was worshipped by orcs who were tasked by her to work the mines.

Heading toward Moon Lake. Urs’s and Vara’s senses boosted, Desmond and Aengus handicapped by head-splitting ear pain. Hoongry asks Urs to offer the same drink via chalice if ever he finds more of her kind. She then goes her own way.

Approach lake, group of orcs there tell us to beat it. Urs tries to talk past them. Lead orcs blocks him with hand on check. Vara draws sword and says not to touch Urs. No one backs down, fight! Desmond turns into t-rex. We slaughter all orcs. As we regroup, Aengus notices another group of orcs in the distance watching.

Start walking the shore, find no evidence of Heidi. Orcs still watching us, but we take a break. Desmond casts Divination:

I seek the one who I believe to be my mother. She goes by Heidi the Pirate Queen. We believe her to be on this island. In 7 days time, we seek to meet up with her. How do we do this?

The response:

In 7 days, there are 7 options. The answer lies in you. Across the ocean, or by your side; your actions this answer sways.

Interpret to mean she’s executing her own plans and is on the move, and how we interfere or aid will change everything.

Aengus cast sending to Cryxis asking about pirate traffic. Response: “Haven’t been by. Island a crazy place. Orcs are nasty. Beast is a problem. Be safe. What do you call a dumb bunny?”

Plan to long rest, then head to orc camp in search of evidence.
