When the party arrived at Khundrukai, they entered as before through the cave system beneath the stronghold and made their way to the octagonal room at the entrance of the Duergar enclave. As they expected, crossing the threshold into the adjoining throne room triggered the magical alarm they had previously encountered, so they quickly rushed into the near door in the southwest corner. This led to a kitchen and dining hall. There they found no duergar but were instead assaulted by the dinner table, which was apparently enchanted to attack intruders. Session 16 — A Shimmery Night
An entry in Blumf’s private journal:
Dear dairy,
Oh man, what a weird couple o’ nights. Kerath and Zin went into town to deal with that shady look’n Dark Warren. Glad it was them and not me, fellow gives me the creeps, and I think he might’ve stolen me wallet. I’m thinking the two of them had the same concerns. I’m told Zin approached him first while Kerath followed “stealthily”. I dunno what the ranger man considers stealthy, but stopping to buy some bread doesn’t seem stealthy to me.
