Continue reading “Session 13 — Leaving Lo’Thar”After meeting with the drow priestess, Vara was escorted back to the cell she shared with Avery. As the hours dragged on, she was given a vision from her patron and a commandment to end the worthless human beside her who put the party in danger again and again. This malicious message was periodically interrupted by another voice, one advising patience and forgiveness.
Continue reading “Session 7 — The Butterfly Quest”In West Krowatia, far beyond the long shadows cast by the spires of great Lo’Thar at dawn, where nascent tributaries of the Acheron descend from the wild Canyonlands, lay the rough-and-rowdy frontier town of Shalako. In this fringe outpost, the sounds of bucking broncos and giggling saloon wenches echoed across the dusty intersection of the town’s two dirt roads. On roofed porches lining the streets, retiring cowboys reclined in rocking chairs to avoid the midday sun, harmonicas in hand. In this lawless settlement, justice found those who aimed to misbehave at the hands of bounty hunters and vigilantes. And it was here that the Wild Rovers arrived after a long journey, eager to resupply and find work.

This was followed by the clang of metal on stone and screaming emanating from the tunnels. The silence afterward was tense, but it was finally broken by the shuffling feet of two limping survivors exiting separate tunnels: William and Lianna.
Continue reading “Session 47 — Total Party Kourage”The Pisspots awoke the next morning at the College of Nature. Feeling bold, Rune drew a card from the Deck of Wondrous Things — The Void — and his form suddenly went lifeless as his soul was transported to a plane of clockwork devices to power a machine!
Continue reading “Session 46 — They Also Chose Poorly”Ragon had returned! But he was greatly changed. His attire was strange: He wore a red suit cloaked in roiling flames. Just as striking to those who knew him was the conspicuous absence of the corruption that had scarred his face for years. Furthermore, Ragon reported that the soul anchors stamped onto his back by Devin were now gone. What had happened to him?
Continue reading “Session 45 — To Hell and Back”The Pisspots entered the treasure room and shut the door behind them to keep out the rising tide. There was more wealth here, including several diamonds, than they could possibly carry home with them. They really should have thought to bring a Bag of Holding or something.
Continue reading “Session 44 — He Chose Poorly”The Pisspots had arrived at the final destination of their hastily accepted and poorly planned sailing excursion: A small island alleged to contain vast wealth guarded by deadly beasts and nefarious traps. An unmoving storm cloud shrouded the island and was their last obstacle to making landfall.
Continue reading “Session 43 — Divided We Fall”Convinced they would eventually need to confront Devin and concerned about the soul anchors he placed on their backs, the Pisspots teleported to the Cathedral of the Divines to seek advice for removing them. They met God-Touched Emil who did little to ease their worries. They learned that the three brands remaining on each of Kaicho, Mav, Ragon, and Remi bound them to the Mad Tyrant, also known as the Dream Walker, and to two locations outside the Material Plane. One of these was a limbo-like plane of madness where their souls would likely be taken to after death, where mind-devouring tormentors would assail them until they reached a far worse final destination. To make matters worse, Emil explained that removing these anchors was incredibly difficult for anyone untrained in Astral Projection. The mind must leave the body, enter an adjacent plane of existence, locate the body, and sever tethers that bind the individual to the extraplanar realms.

He graciously offered to give us all a glorious and swift end. I think that’s our best option.” The others were not convinced.
