Dear Bro,
Sorry I left you so quickly, I didn’t want my friends to leave without me! We left on a big boat to travel to a city called Armatta to save some sick kid. And even cooler, we’re going to be traveling across the ocean!!! Avery, the funny old man that travels with us, was able to find a boat for us to travel on, and he has done a fantastic job so far teaching us how to sail. I’ve been doing a great job watching out for dangers on the sea while the others assist with all the ropes (besides Aengus, he likes to swing on them and play around). Avery has a boat named the Altair, but I guess we’re racing against it to get to the child first. Some guy named Mernand is currently sailing that ship, I think they used to be friends but now they’re not friends… that’s pretty sad. I hope they can make up soon. Speaking of friends, Avery really seems to know a lot of people. I think he’s also friends with Tommy, that guy from the Myths and Weapons. Perhaps we should sell him some acne cream, he could use it!
When I wasn’t at watch, we were attacked by these scary flying creatures… I think Vara called them harpies. Don’t worry, after we took care of them I made sure to secure some of their feathers for you! They were able to fly and even sing! I think they were magical in nature, as their song was able to get into the mind of Urs and make him go for a swim! I didn’t see anything exciting when it was my turn for watch, but according to my friends a dragon visited the ship! I’m not sure I believe them, I think it’s another one of their jokes, but apparently a bronze dragon named Cryxis who likes riddles visited us. It told us that there were some pirates camped nearby and there were giant sharks in the waters, but more importantly it seems the dragon was transfixed on Avery’s chest! This caused some rather-winded conversation later regarding his chest.
I’m not sure I should tell you about this, I think it’s supposed to be private “Wild Rovers” business, but it can’t really hurt to tell my brother, my own blood! The funny old man told us that he lost his ship when he refused to kill the sick kid earlier. His girlfriend, a girl named Heidi who I think is the boss of a lot of ships, has some magic friends who ripped his heart from his chest! He wouldn’t let me touch him, but I’m a little worried for his health. He seems to be randomly going blind, I keep casting a lesser restoration spell on him but it’s not having a lasting effect. Maybe we can make a potion that can help him, along with the one for the sick child? I know it’s a lot to handle, but if we can make the tonic we can spread the talents of the Aquatic Concoction far and wide! You take care of the potion, and I’ll make sure the kid doesn’t die until he gets it!!!
WE HAVE A RANCH!!!
I’ll tell you the details later on how we acquired it, but we now have the peaceful home of a bunch of cows in the town of Shalako, to the west of Lo’Thar. Don’t worry, the cows are safe. We hired a bunch of farm hands and hired guns to make sure they’re fed tons of clover. It really is a great small town, if you ever stop by you NEED to stay in the inn named Kitty Korner. And guess what… I found another water genasi! Her name is Tyresha, and she has the most beautiful yellow skin. She is a lot like us, I think we can learn much from her and her stories. She works at the inn, her and Kitty are new VIP’s of our shop! You should also get a haircut if you’re in town, the artist owns magical shears that performed wonders on Urs! Oh, there’s also a potion shop named the Necrotic Compunction. I tried to sneak around and investigate but didn’t see much due to Urs causing a little scene. I guess she got scared because she yelled at us to leave. I wouldn’t worry about it, she didn’t seem to have anything too great!
I should probably stop writing now, I haven’t really been paying too much attention up here in the crow’s nest. I’ll be sure to have this letter sent to you as soon as we get to the next town, I hope it gets to you before we get back!
Love you!!!
